the shortcuts of life (ups and downs)

Posted by brandy3 on October 10, 2008

parent bloggers network has a new blog blast this week, they want to know your shortcuts through life. they are working with ore ida, who have a short cut on how to get your mashed poatoes.

one of the biggest shortcuts through life i’ve taaken. is getting married and having children, before getting a degree. i am only 24 and got married at the age of 19 and had my first child at the age of 20.  it’s one of the best shortcuts i took. i have a wonderful family. would never change it.

my family so cute!

i am one of those people with no sense of direction. i mean i need mapquest for everything.  even with mapquest i still get lost. it’s so pathetic.  just yesterday i was going to someones house to pick up some moving boxes. i found them on craigslist. they had given me directions over the phone, but i still had no clue where to go.  i did a mapquest and just got so lost. so my shortcut was i took half the directions the man gave on the phone, and half the mapquest. it finally worked out.

my mother always said if you are cooking something and need milk you can always substitute it with water. yeah i tried that and it doesn’t seem to taste the same to me.     when it comes to cooking i try and find the easiest way of having to get out of peeling scrubbing or even baking/ roasting etc. my shortcuts have always been to but like the stoffers dinner meals, or the premade or frozen veggies. it’s easy and saves time.

this was written for a contest with parent bloggers network in conjunction with ore ida potatoes
